A Tour of the United Kingdom

There are four nations which make up the United Kingdom and they all have something unique to visit. In fact, it is quite surprising how different each country is. However, you will have to visit them all to understand what I mean. Here is my quick guide to Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland; the four countries which comprise the United Kingdom.

Northern Ireland

Let me start with my favourite destination. Why? I love Northern Ireland because it has beautiful landscapes and the capital city, Belfast, is compact but has all you need to enjoy the pleasures of city life. I would recommend booking a flight to Belfast International Airport and staying in the capital for a few days. Some of the tourist attractions not to be missed are the Titanic Quarter, the famous Belfast murals and City Hall. If you like shopping…you have to go to Victoria Square. A trip to Northern Ireland isn’t complete without visiting the Giant’s Causeway on the North Antrim Coast.

Scotland

Scotland is my second favourite destination. Why? Perhaps because I fell in love with Edinburgh…the beautiful, classical capital of Scotland. This city is very elegant with its ancient castle, cobble streets and great pub life. My favourite spot for restaurants is George Street.

England

England is third on my list and of course a visit to London is a must. This is the capital of the United Kingdom and England. Getting cheap airline tickets to London is easy as it has a number of airports, one of which is the most important in the world (Heathrow). In London you can visit Buckingham Palace and see all the important landmarks the city is famous for: red post boxes, red buses, black cabs, pubs, London Bridge…..it is all there waiting to be discovered.

Wales

The main gateway to Wales is Cardiff and even though it is the last on my list…I still love Wales. One of the things I like most is the Welsh accent. In Wales you can set out and discover the area, and see some of its magnificent fauna and flora.
